One day someone walked up to us and asked if we could teach him to ride a horse. "Sure...", we said, and handed him a halter. "The first thing to learn about riding horses is that your work starts long before you ever swing a leg over its back". To this day, we still believe that horsemanship matters when you're in and out of the saddle, and that a true horseman or woman respects that.

Devenport Training is a family run business with people who training, competing, and teaching is more than a career, it is our lifestyle. We have generations of knowledge and experience to pass on, and our lesson program has developed from that in order to teach and help individuals reach their goals and watch their dreams come true. 

Beginners to Winners is more than just the name of our Lesson Program, it is our motto.  The goals of our riders are as diverse as you could imagine, we welcome everyone from all, levels, ages and backgrounds. If you've always dreamed of getting on a horse or if you are just mildly curious what all the fuss is about, to if you are already an accomplished rider looking to step up your game with fresh eyes and a new approach, we accept and help everyone succeed.
